MARINE & OFFSHORE CONSULTING
Senior Judgment,Personally Delivered.
Regulatory and marine consulting led by our founder: two decades at the American Bureau of Shipping, rising to Corporate Vice President, Global Marine Sectors, followed by seven years as Deputy Commissioner of Maritime Affairs for the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Engagements are led by our founder, and every report names the reviewer who wrote it.
Where a scope needs more than one principal, we say so at scoping and name the individuals before work begins.
Core Capabilities
The four disciplines our founder has spent a career inside. Everything else we offer extends from these.
Compliance & Assurance
Convention compliance, vetting, surveys, sale and purchase, sanctions screening, casualty work and flag advisory.
Technical & Newbuilding
Construction and conversion oversight, dry-docking, yard due diligence and plan review.
Offshore & Energy
Marine warranty, marine assurance, owner's representation, offshore campaigns and decarbonization.
Specialized
Cyber, defense fleet and ship finance advisory.
SCOPE AND RELIANCE
What Our Reports Are, and Who May Rely on Them
Every report states its scope, its method and its limits. Our inspection and audit work is non-statutory: it informs a flag administration's decisions and does not carry them, and it produces no statutory certificate. Our reports are prepared for the party that instructs us and for the purpose stated in the engagement. Reliance by any other party requires our written agreement.
Not Sure Where to Start?
Tell us about the fleet, the project or the inspection in front of you and we will point you to the right capability, or tell you plainly that it is not us.
